Alongside Destiny 2’s Episode: Revenant content drop comes Vesper’s Host, a three-player dungeon that, like previous dungeons, is sure to offer some intense challenge to endgame players. That challenge is going to be more intense than usual for the first weekend of Vesper’s Host, because for the first time, Bungie is running a world’s first completion race similar to those it puts on for its raids. As players compete to be the first in the world to finish Vesper’s Host, they’ll have to deal with “contest mode,” which amps up the difficulty of the activity to level the playing field. There’s a lot going on with Vesper’s Host, from its race to its new Exotic weapon, Ice Breaker, a returning favorite from the original Destiny. Here’s everything you need to know about Vesper’s Host, from when it launches, to race info and contest mode details, and more–plus the just-announced disabled items for the world’s first dungeon race (and a warning about those items).Table of Contents [hide]

Black Ops 6 will not have an early-access period for its narrative campaign mode, unlike prior Call of Duty titles, Activision has confirmed. The game’s campaign, multiplayer mode, and Zombies will all launch simultaneously on October 25 for “one massive global launch moment.”Previous Call of Duty titles, including both Modern Warfare 2 and 3, allowed players who preordered to get early access to the games’ campaigns for up to a week. Unlike other sports games in which the focal point is often either the team-centric Franchise-style mode or the fantasy-card-collecting loot-box mode, Visual Concepts has built up its MyCareer mode and its social MMO hub, The City, to offer a compelling–and s…
