The Callisto Protocol developer Striking Distance Studios has announced its next game, Redacted. Set in the same sci-fi horror universe as The Callisto Protocol, the game will see players return to Black Iron Prison and face off against mutant prisoners and other survivors looking to escape the facility. It’ll launch for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 31.Billed as a roguelike dungeon-crawler with a punk-rock attitude, the game will follow the genre formula of fighting, dying, dying again, fighting some more, and dying yet again until you eventually get a perfect run. As a security guard caught in the middle of rioting prisoners and scientific abominations, you’ll have access to an arsenal of weapons, skills, and more to help you survive.

After four hours with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, I was struck with the thought that this is a game that is exceedingly challenging to demo. The original Kingdom Come: Deliverance had an impressive level of depth and authenticity, and these are elements that have been broadened and expanded on in KCD2, but this meant that the time I spent in the world of Warhorse’s virtual Bohemia were far too brief. Nevertheless, it’s a place and experience I am excited to revisit.While the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance was a difficult game for a lot of people to get into, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 aims to be more approachable in both story and gameplay without compromising any of the elements that resonated with the first game’s hardcore fans. Players won’t need to have finished or even played KCD to enjoy KCD2, but the sequel’s 80-100 hour experience will certainly be elevated for anyone that already has a foundation in the series.

With Little Nightmares 3 coming from Supermassive, the series’ original creators have shifted into a new, but similarly macabre, horror universe.Reanimal is designed for two-player co-op, and can be played online or locally. In fact, if you do play it solo, you’ll bring an AI companion with you every step of the way through its unsettling, violent world. Reanimal features giant monsters that resemble animals such as sheep, pigs, and… well, some that are a bit harder to define. As the reveal trailer shows, the presentation and gameplay closely resemble Little Nightmares.
